Oukitel has since last month focused its resources and energy on promoting its first 5G rugged smartphone, Oukitel WP10 5G. It was briefly opened to the public in November and early December for pre-sale at a discounted price
Word in the Chinese tech world is the “King Battery 5G rugged Smartphone” has hit the production lines for mass production. This news comes at a perfect time considering the reported massive interests from the public in the rugged phone.
Oukitel released a video of the production line showing workers neatly dressed and busy at work building making multiple replicas of the smartphones. Smartphones are sophisticated devices that require multiple assembly parts, a tidy environment, and great attention to details during the manufacturing process.
In the video, the phones pass through multiple assembly stages till they are completely assembled. Every WP10 5G smartphone assembled are tested to ensure they comply with the relevant quality and safety standards before they are packaged and shipped out.
According to a source from the company, mass production was initiated to ensure deliveries are made on time.
Just to recap, Oukitel WP10 5G features a massive 8000mAh battery, immense 6.67’’ FHD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. It also comes with a 48MP quad rear camera, which can record 4k videos at 30 fps and a 16MP selfie camera.
WP10 5G supports 18W fast charging, NFC, glove mode, both fingerprint and face ID unlock, underwater camera mode among others. It also comes with a multi-module support system making WP10’s potential capabilities endless. WP10 is IP68 and IP69K rated, making it drop-proof and water-resistant at a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes. It is also MIL-STD-810G certified.
Between December 23rd and 30th, the rugged phone OUKITEL WP10 will be available for $379.99 down from its original price of $669.99 on Banggoods.
