Oukitel announced earlier this week that the Oukitel WP10 will be available for presale on the 23rd of November for $399.99. This price tag is in the same ballpark as the price of CAT S52 which was released by CAT around the same time last year. Considering these 2 devices share a similar price, we would like to make a comparison of these devices.
But before we get into the differences both WP10 and S52 share some similarities. For e.g both devices are produced for the global market so they cover all bands, both products come with an IP68 & IP69K rating and a MIL-STD-810G certification. They both support dual nano-SIM.
With that said we will be comparing features that matter most to consumers such as:
Battery
Oukitel WP10 packs a 8000mAh. It is built to pack enough juice for up to 48 hours of active use.
CAT S52 on the other hand comes with a modest 3100mAh enough for 24 hours of usage
Display
Oukitel comes with a 6.67-inch corning gorilla glass FHD+ hole-punch display. One of the largest displays on a smartphone whereas CAT S52 also comes with a corning gorilla glass display but with a size of 5.56- inch and a resolution of 720x1440. Chipset, RAM and ROM
Oukitel WP10 is powered by MediaTek dimensity 800 chipset which makes use of the 7nm process technology with an integrated 5G modem which allows for both SA and NSA modes. WP10 also comes with 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage and 8GB of LPDDR4X ram.
CAT S52 on the other hand comes with 4G network, a mid range mediatek Helio P35 8-core processor running at 2.3GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256G via MicroSD.
Cameras
Oukitel WP10 on its back side features a Sony 48MP quad rear camera capable of shooting 4k videos at 30fps. The front side camera is a 16MP AI selfie camera. CAT S52’s 12MP main rear camera uses a Sony dual pixel sensor with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) for improved low-light performance, plus an f/1.8 lens. The front features a 8MP camera.

CAT S52 is built to be tough but designed to appeal to the mainstream smartphone market. There is no doubt of the durability of CAT S52. Oukitel on the other hand still rocks the typical appearance we have come to expect from rugged phones.
OUKITEL WP10 now kicks off global presale at AliExpress OUKITEL Official store at $399.99, making it the most affordable 5g rugged phone till now in the market.
